- Checkout time is 11:00 a.m.

- If you will be checking in anytime after 9 pm, please do so as quietly as possible so any little glampers at other sites are not woken up.
- We can't offer either early check-in or late check-out.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Campsite Occupancy & Visitor

Unicoi Lodge and Welcome Center Hours
- The visitors center is open 10-6 Monday-Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday.
- The lodge has staff that can assist 8-6 Monday-Thursday and 8-7:30 Friday-Sunday.
WiFi / Internet Service / Mobile Service
- Please note that Unicoi State Park does provide free WiFi internet service at the welcome center and at the Lodge.
- This service does not, however, extend to the glampsites nor to the rest of the park.
- Mobile service, depending on your service provider, is patchy at different places around the park, so you may have service in some areas of your site.
- If you need a good free WiFi connection, it is recommended that you go to the Lodge or the Welcome Center.
Tent Lights, Fans, and Remote Controls
- Fans: All tents have ceiling fans and each fan has a dial on the bottom that you can turn to high, medium, low, or off.
- Heating and Air Conditioning: All tents have a residential heating and air conditioning unit.
- You will find a remote control next to the unit that you can use to adjust the temperature, fan, mode, etc.
- String Lights: We leave the exterior string lights on for all guests.
- There is a small remote control inside your tent that you can use to turn those lights on or off.
Missing Items
- Our glampers really love all the little touches in our tents.
- Sometimes they like them so much that they want to take them home.
- Please be reminded that any item missing from the tent at the end of your stay will be charged to your credit card.
- We keep extras for some items in our camp storage area, but some items we have to order, which means that the next guest may not have that amenity for their stay.
- Please ensure that nobody in your party takes anything home with them. Common items that go missing are the air horns to ward off bears (which is a safety issue), coffee mugs, notebooks, and those cool branch-like pencils.
- If you'd like a coffee mug, you can purchase new ones (with a lid) and we will deliver it to you prior to the end of your stay.
Bathroom
- The camp bathrooms are clean but simple and a bit dated.
- They do include warm showers, toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap.
- You will want to bring bar soap, hair care products, toiletries, and towels.
- It's also kind of nice to have some waterproof slippers of some sort to wear to and from the bathrooms from your tent. Some glampers use their cell phones to light the way to or from the bathrooms at night, but others bring a small flashlight.
- The bathrooms themselves are very well-lit, as are the tents.
Wildlife Safety
- Please be aware that Unicoi is home to a number of black bears and food, dirty dishes, trash, or heavily scented toiletry items that are left out may attract them.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that no such item is left out in any Timberline Glamping structure.
- You would be responsible for any damage caused by bears as a result of items being left in or around your tent.
- It is the recommendation of the park that you do not eat inside your tent, and that you only keep food or scented toiletry items, like toothpaste, in your locked car or in the refrigerator.
- Dirty dishes should be washed promptly. Garbage must not be kept on your site and should be promptly deposited in any of the camp trash bins.
- Failure to do so could result in a $50 fine and an unwelcome visit from one of our resident black bears.
- Bears will smell food that is inside a cooler, so, unless you are actively preparing a meal, if you have a cooler, it is strongly recommended that it is closed and kept inside your locked car with your windows up.
- For guest safety, We place an air horn in each tent, which is to be used ONLY in the event of a bear on your glampsite.
- Please do not allow any party on your site to use these air horns for any other purpose, nor to remove these air horns from your tent.
- Use or removal of these air horns will result in a $25 fine, but more importantly, could be a safety issue for future guests.
Pet Policy
- We love our furry Glampers! Just be sure to let us know ahead of time.
- There is a $45 Fee, per dog, per stay (no matter how many nights you are staying) and you may have up to two dogs per accommodation.
- You may add your pets to your reservation any time prior to check-in.
- If our team, who is on-site daily, notes that there are pets on-site that have not been included in your reservation, then there will be a fine of $150.00, per pet, charged to your account.
- Pets must be kept on a leash not exceeding 10 feet in length.
- Pets are not allowed in restrooms, playground areas, shelters, or designated swim areas.
- Pets shall not be left unattended in any Timberline Glamping accommodation unless properly crated.
- The guest is financially responsible for all damage caused by their pets.
Fire & Cooking Policies
- Fires must be confined in a designated fire ring or grill.
- Only dead wood on the ground may be collected for firewood.
- No chainsaws may be used.
- Please note that the fire rings at Unicoi do not have a cooking grate.
- If you are planning to cook during your stay, we recommend adding a camp kitchen set to your reservation or bringing your own grill and cookware.
- Your site includes a Unicoi State Park-provided wood-burning fire pit.
- You may either bring your own firewood from another seller in or around Helen (no firewood allowed from other cities as firewood can harbor insects or diseases that can impact the environment at Unicoi) or you may purchase firewood at the welcome center (a very short walk from your tent).
- The park does not provide any firepit tools, so you may want to bring them with you.
- If you'd rather not have to deal with wood fires, cleaning out and disposing of the ashes, etc., we do offer propane fire pits that we can have all set up for you upon arrival.
Noise & Quiet Hours
- Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Unreasonable or excessive noise at any time is prohibited.Cancellation Policy
