Private Alpaca Trail Walk

Our 1-hour class is crafted with love for individuals of all yoga skill levels, welcoming everyone aged 14 and above. (Note: Adventurous souls under 18 must bring along an adult to share in the fun.)  Approximately 40 minutes of yoga with another 20 to spend some time cuddling with the baby goats afterwards!

In this all-level class, yogis perform a series of poses while a herd of adorable, friendly goats roam freely around the area. They often interact with the participants, providing plenty of opportunities for giggles and delightful moments. These cute animals can sometimes climb onto the backs of yogis as they are in certain poses. The mixture of yoga and playful interactions with goats not only increases flexibility, strength, and balance but also improves mood and fosters a sense of calmness. It's not your usual yoga class, but it promises a whole load of laughs, happiness, and a truly unique experience for all participants.

Set within a spacious, covered area of our picturesque farm, we promise an engaging session come rain or shine. Imagine doing your Sun Salutations with the soft bleat of baby goats in the background, or finding your Zen in Child’s Pose as a baby goat curiously wanders your way. Yoga with Baby Goats

Spend a spring Saturday at Bracken Hill Farm in this retreat to invigorate the spirit of play and your playful spirit.  After a hearty lunch and interactive presentation about the benefits of play for our soul, we will spend time with farm animals, practice yoga outdoors, enjoy a walking meditation in the woodsy hills and a creative art project.  This carefree day of adventure is a reminder to grow in rather than grow up.

**Instructor**
Julie is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Harvard Divinity School and completed her chaplain training through a residency at the University of California, San Francisco.  She holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Boston University School of Theology, focusing on the spirituality of death and dying.
Julie and her family live in an antique colonial in downtown Northborough, slowly restoring it and appreciating its quirky “character.”  In addition to a daily yoga ritual, Julie is a long-distance runner and cyclist, lover of books, nature, witty jokes, quality coffee, and anything chocolate.  Julie and her family travel all over, often camping in tents and distracted by tacky roadside attractions.  Their three cats are very busy cuddling...or catching mice!  The recent addition of Rex, a bearded dragon, completes their home.

These aren't just any hikes; they’re 30 minutes of pure joy, accompanied by our herd of charming Nigerian dwarf goats. But the fun doesn't stop there! After your invigorating hike, you have the option to spend an additional 30 minutes playing with our irresistibly cute baby goats. Imagine tiny hooves prancing around you, each one eager for a cuddle or a game of tag.

Feel free to arrive 10-15 minutes early or linger a bit after your hike to meet the rest of our friendly farm residents. From the elegant alpacas and majestic horses to the clucky chickens, chatty turkeys, quacky ducks, and our lovable KuneKune pig, there’s no shortage of delightful encounters to be had.

Come join us for a day filled with giggles, furry friends, and unforgettable memories. Whether you're an animal lover, a nature enthusiast, or just looking for a unique experience, our Goat Hikes promise an adventure that's truly one of a kind.

Come with 4 of your nearest and dearest (or fewer! we won't judge if you want an alpaca all to your self!) and hike our 3/4 mile trail with one of our handsome alpacas!

Up to 3 groups per hike (one group with each alpaca), pricing is $75 per group of up to 5 people. We also offer private alpaca hikes if you'd like to have all 3 to yourself!

Our trails are steep and uneven in some places and we are farm, so please expect to get dirty and dress accordingly! Please take the terrain into consideration when planning to book.

After your hike you will be able to interact with our other farm animals, horses, goats, chickens, guinea pigs and a kunekune pig!

Taco Thursdays with Alpacas

Our baby goats are big enough to hike!! Come experience this extra playful walk on our trails with the youngest members of our farm!! 

Please note this hike is about 3/4 mile long, is on uneven terrain and has some steep inclines.  We will be outside and you will likely get a little dirty so please wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes! We hike rain or shine!

The Pony Pals Club is a weekly hour-long program designed specifically for children ages 6-11 with an affinity for our equine friends. Each Sunday, from 3-4 PM, young horse enthusiasts gather for an unforgettable experience as they are given the opportunity to intimately interact with these gentle creatures. Activities involve learning all about horses, providing for their needs by feeding and walking them, and tending to their grooming requirements. It's not just about pony care, as children are also engaged with crafts and games related to ponies. And of course, we save ample time for everyone's favorite part - the pony snuggles!
