We have tons of animals at the farm that you can come meet!  Our steer Daryll would never turn down a head scratch and a snack!  Miss Piggie, Scarlet & Ziggy are always ready to zip across their pen to get a carrot and say hello!  We also have chickens and ducks that love eating from your hand once you earn their trust.  Frankie the peacock is happy to show off his tail and snag a snack as he patrols the property.

ROSE Therapeutic Farm Summer Camps are an exciting way to light up any young person’s summer. Our camps provide unique, hands-on opportunities for learning, growth, and fun. Campers spend their time here immersed in the natural world, with animals and the environment. Each camp is loaded with creative, enriching activities meant to help your kiddos connect with nature and learn how to enjoy ""the simple life"".
 
This camp is for mom or dad and a kiddo of any age!   You can add up to 2 extra kiddos for each parent!
 
Activities

Each day will bring something a little bit different, just like life on a ranch.  But each day will start with tending to the animals.
- Preparing and feeding all of the animals their morning meal of hay, grain, seed and veggies!
- Collecting all of the egg the chickens laid the night before.
- Checking to make sure everyone has fresh water and clean bedding.
- Grooming and snuggles
- Goat-feed

Special Educational Animal Activity

We will spend time with a each farm animal learning about what their purposes are on a farm, what they need to grow and thrive and wee take care of them.  
- Horses don't just say nah! - Learn how to listen to a horse... yes they can talk, you just have to know how to listen :)  We will also be: Grooming Horses, Feeding Horses, Walking - -  - Horses on a Lead, Learning about Horse Care.
- Goats, Goats, Goats!  Learning about goat digestive system, trimming Goat Hooves, Walking with Goats on the property as they forage to see what they like to eat firsthand.
- Chickens rule the Roost!  Learn about how chickens live and thrive. From incubation to egg laying… They bring so much value to a farm!
Pigs and Donkey's and Bulls... OH MY!!!!

And of course we will have time for goat snuggles and lots of adorable photos!

Behind the Scenes - Morning Farm Tour and Chores

These a Volunteer Events to help beautify and improve our property!!!  

We have  a number of projects to complete around the property and we are asking our community to come out and lend a hand.

We have the following projects scheduled for February...

- Set up new Garden Beds
- Prep Garden for Spring
- Plant Seeds in Grow House
- Reinstall Green House
- Sand and Pebbles in Frankie's Pen
-  Spread Compost Pile

We are looking for adults with the following skills:
- Wood working
- Gardening
- Painting
- Cleaning (The Pasture, Animals Shelters and in the barn)
- Organizing

Children age 8 and older are welcome but they must be accompanied by a parent that plans to help as well.  I will have team members here to help assist the kiddos on simple projects And Yes, there will be plenty of time to visit with the animals as well!

**How It Works:**

Meet Miss Piggie, Scarlet, and Ziggy, our energetic pigs always ready to greet you with a carrot! You can also bond with our chickens and ducks, who will happily eat from your hand once you earn their trust. Frankie the peacock might even show off his magnificent tail while patrolling the farm!

Campers will be divided into groups that are age appropriate, however siblings and friends can remain together.

- BEES are the BEST!  Yes, we have bees on the property!  And we will learn all about how important bees are to our world.  And of course taste some delicious fresh honey.

**Educational Activity, Game or Craft**

Each day we will explore different aspects of farm living and animal husbandry through an educational, game, craft or activity.  These are examples of some of the things we will be doing :)

- Building Bird Houses out of recycled items
- Making toys for the chickens to play with.
- Beautifying the Horse & Goat Pins.
- Making homemade treats for the goats, chickens, rabbits and horses!
- Tending to the garden, picking and planting new veggies, flowers and fruit trees.
- Take a look at the crafts we have planned trough out the summer!!!

Fall Farm Festival!

#Easter Egg Hunt with Goats, a cute craft and Fun day on the Farm!

This event is meant for Parents & Kiddos to participate together.  Everyone coming will need a ticket to enter the farm.

## WHAT THE EXPERIENCE WILL BE LIKE...
This is Family Experience!  We want the whole family to come together for a day of fun on our adorable family farm!

This is a guided experience so please arrive on time.  We will spend time in smaller groups visiting and learning about different animals on the farm.

First we will meet the Goats, Chickens, Piggies, Rabbits, Mini Horses, Mini Donkeys and Daryl the Cow. We will feed and groom them as we learn about what makes each animal special and unique.

Then we will create a super cute bunny headband craft & paint wooden eggs!

Have you ever had a baby goat fall asleep in your lap? Or maybe hopped up onto your legs and given you the softest headbutt ever possible? If you’re looking to spend an hour snuggling, hugging, and playing with baby goats - you’ve come to the right place!

Goat kids are naturally curious and playful, and our goats love to climb on anyone and anything! We will provide assorted goat treats and there will be plenty of time to pet, hold, and take pictures with the goats throughout your hour with them.

- Grooming and snuggles

Special Educational Animal Activity

Each day we will spend time with a different farm animal learning about what their purposes are a farm, what they need to grow and thrive and we take care of them.

- Goats, Goats, Goats!  Learning about goat digestive system, trimming Goat Hooves, Walking with Goats on the property as they forage to see what they like to eat firsthand.
- Gardening 101 - Learn how to plant seeds, weed and care for a vegetable garden.  Even pick from food an eat it fresh that day :)
- Baby Chick Hatching!  Learn about how chickens live and thrive. From incubation to egg laying… They bring so much value to a farm!

You will need to take your time to earn their trust and build a bond but once you do you will have a friend for life!

- Once you are on the farm you may stay as long as you like. 
- Events will be rescheduled if the weather is not cooperating.  A gift card will be issues so you can book another date and time.
- Tickets are non-refundable but can be exchanged for another future event or gift card if needed.
- Please do not bring your pet to the farm.
- We have treats for the animals for sale, please no outside food for the animals unless it has been approved.

##Engaging Education Programs at ROSE Therapeutic Farm

ROSE Therapeutic Farm offers a unique educational experience for students, where they can explore and learn about agriculture, while enjoying all the benefits of an authentic farm setting. Our programs are designed to focus on agriculture, the environment, and health, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education.

**Reservations**
- Our minimum number for a field trip group is 15 little farmers.  
- The cost is $12 per person.
- You are required to have chaperone for every 15 children.

**Food Policy**
Lunch is not provided.  You are encouraged to bring sack lunches and beverages. We have several pavilions with picnic tables that your group can utilize while at the farm.

## About
Your guide will show you around the property, teaching you about all of the animals for the 1st hour.  You will visit chickens, goats, pigs, ponies, donkeys and the tortoise.  After that you will have free time to explore the farm with your group! 

##Typical Daily Activities​##
Each day will bring something a little bit different, just like life on a ranch. But each day will start with tending to the animals.

- Preparing and feeding all of the animals their morning meal of hay, grain, seed and veggies!
- Collecting all of the eggs the chickens laid the night before.
- Checking to make sure everyone has fresh water and clean bedding.
- Grooming and snuggles
- Nature walk with the goats and pigs

##What to Wear
Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.  If you have rain or mud boots please wear or bring those.  If not please wear tennis shoes.

##What to Bring
Really just yourself, but if you have any veggies, fruits, breads or chips that you want to bring to feed to the goats, pigs, chickens and rabbits, please feel free!

Campers spend their time here immersed in the natural world, with animals and the environment. I am not a Doctor but I can speak from experience. My goats have changed my life for the better and I love sharing them with others. Beside begin super cute and cuddly they are also very smart and intuitive. They seem to observe who needs a little extra love each time we are in a group or a class.

##Goat Yoga
Our Day Begins with a playful Goat Yoga Class.  What is Goat Yoga??? Well, it's just like regular yoga, with stretching, postures and breathing, except with adorable and friendly goats wandering around. It is truly as much fun as it sounds. This is an experience like no other. Combining the benefits of yoga with the calming and loving connection with goats will leave you feeling light, happy and wanting more.

We do not provide carving utensils to children under age 13 for safety reasons.  Adults need to assist them with carving.  Carving a pumpkin takes some time so we don't recommend getting a pumpkin for everyone in your group.  We suggest 2 people carve a pumpkin together as a team!
